
Bandung, 6 February, 2026 – The Directorate of Partnerships and International Affairs (DPIA) Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) circulated a visitation agenda from Kasetsart University and a hosting offer to the UPI Laboratory schools and the Faculty of Science Education (FIP) UPI. A total of 23 participants, including magister students and university leaders, participated in a morning academic observation program at the UPI Laboratory Schools. Eighteen master’s students from Kasetsart University were divided into three big groups to conduct classroom and institutional observations at the UPI Laboratory Elementary, Junior High, and Senior High Schools. As a university with an education background, Kasetsart University aims to gain broader insights and practical understanding of teaching approaches through this program.

The visitation agenda continued to conduct academic activities with faculty and student representatives from FIP UPI, led by Prof. Dr. Aan Komariah, M.Pd., to establish academic collaboration with Kasetsart University as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen international cooperation in education within FIP UPI.

During the visit, the Dean of the Faculty of Education at Kasetsart University, Prof. Dr. Udomluk Koolsriroj, expressed interest in expanding collaboration with the Faculty of Education at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Potential areas of cooperation include research in artificial intelligence and future learning, teacher development, curriculum innovation, integrated early childhood education, physical education across the lifespan, entrepreneurship, career development, and community-based economy within the framework of lifelong learning.
Prof. Dr. Aan Komariah, M.Pd., the Dean of the Faculty of Education UPI, highlighted the strong potential of joint research initiatives between the two institutions. She also expressed hope for the development of future student exchange programs, including teaching-related initiatives and other academic activities. The program continued with presentations by Kasetsart University students on current educational trends in Thailand, followed by an engaging and constructive discussion with students from the FIP UPI.

With the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), the Faculty of Education of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia and the Faculty of Education of Kasetsart University have officially become academic partners. This partnership is expected to broaden opportunities for students and faculty members of both institutions. Through this collaboration, both parties aim to advance cooperation in teaching, research, and student exchange. Further discussions on potential collaborative initiatives will be held in upcoming virtual meetings.
