Bandung, 21 April 2026 — Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), through the Directorate of Partnerships and International Affairs (DPIA), facilitated a signing ceremony and partnership exploration with Alana Kaye College, Australia. The meeting marked an important step toward expanding UPI’s international collaboration, particularly in vocational and transnational education.
During the session, David Thompson, as the International Manager of Alana Kaye College, expressed the institution’s readiness to collaborate with UPI. He introduced Alana Kaye College as an institution offering interactive, flexible and industry-oriented courses designed to enhance employability. Available courses include Certificate IV Training & Assessment, Certificate III Individual Support, Certificate IV Ageing Support, and many more. These courses are offered to students seeking job opportunities in Australia at an affordable cost.
The discussion also explored the potential development of transnational education programs, including the possibility of delivering Australian-based curricula in Indonesia, particularly in cities such as Bandung, Surabaya, and Jakarta. These programs are expected to focus on vocational education, preparing students for the workforce through practical, industry-aligned training. UPI and Alana Kaye College also discussed opportunities for joint program delivery through online and offline learning modes, capacity building through training programs, and pathways for students and graduates to access international work opportunities.
Through this initiative, DPIA continues to strengthen UPI’s international engagement by facilitating strategic partnerships that promote global learning opportunities. DPIA will continue to play a central role in organizing and facilitating discussions to ensure alignment between institutional goals and potential collaborative programs.
