Bandung, 12 March 2026 – The Directorate of Partnership and International Affairs facilitated a significant meeting for the Faculty of Technology and Industry Education (FPTI). The meeting centered on a partnership discussion and the signing of an MoU with PT. Marlip Indo Mandiri. This collaboration aims to jointly explore potential opportunities in technological research and industry development. The visit included a tour where PT. Marlip Indo Mandiri representatives viewed FPTI’s laboratory, including its tools and completed projects. The Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Business, Prof. Dr. Phil. Yudi Sukmayadi, M.Pd., delivered his opening remark and expressed hope of building a long-term collaboration with PT. Marlip Indo Mandiri, as FPTI is known for its reputation and innovation.
Following the discussion, PT. Marlip Indo Mandiri’s founder, Ir. Masrah Marang, introduced the company’s background and its contributions to technological development. Throughout the company’s history, one of PT. Marlip Indo Mandiri’s notable project is Angklung (Angkutan Kota Listrik Bandung), an electric city transportation concept designed to support local mobility.
Marlip also expressed their interest in collaborating with FPTI in the manufacturing process of technological components. FPTI is expected to contribute expertise in producing specific technological components and supporting the development of human resources for after-sales services. Through this partnership with FPTI, Marlip hopes to develop collaborations in several areas such as expert support, testing processes for technological tools, and joint research activities. PT Marlip Mandiri also emphasized the importance of future collaboration, which could also involve investment in certification processes to support product commercialization.
The Dean of FPTI, Dr. Eng. Agus Setiawan, M. Si., warmly welcomed this initiative and highlighted that this collaboration can lead to more specific collaborative activities which could include student internships, curriculum development, research projects, and other academic-industry programs.
Through this facilitation, DPIA continues to strengthen UPI’s role in building strategic partnerships between academia and industry, encouraging collaborative innovation and supporting technological research that benefits both parties and society.
